
Pretty sweet! If you ever get access to a scale, check the weight and compare to other worn halves of that era, there seems to be a rise in fakes.
According to my Red Book, an 1856 half should weigh 12.44g. Your scale may not be fully accurate, and I don't know how deeply wear affects the coin's weight. Personally, I think it would be authentic. I just don't want you to be disappointed if you sell it/get it graded.
In good news, there were 2,658,000 minted, and worth somewhere around 30-40 dollars! I hope it's the real deal!
