pro-pointer find in the desert

While roaming around in the desert I thought I'd check a turnout parking area. Room enough for 6 or 7 cars to park, near a trailhead. Soil condition was maybe 2" loose sand then hard pack underneath. Moving the pro-pointer around in the loose sand it sounded off immediately on pull tabs and nails. I kept swiping them away and putting the pointer down to check the hardpan, silence. A few more nails and pull tabs, put the pointer down on the hardpan and it sounds off.
Ther's something there.......
