French and Indian wars were 1750s, no US made stuff then, I assume you must mean late 1800s US Indian wars?? Very cool piece, but likely not a life changer value wise.

Here's one in perfect condition, not dug, with a regimental number on it for $175. It's going to be a bit later than you were thinking, Model of 1881....
