Saguache. Heard it pronounced a lot of ways but that's closest to right. After working straight through for a couple of weeks of 12 and 13 hour night shifts, finally a couple days off so headed down here and around Penitente Canyon with the wife. Great country to visit in the middle of the week. Took Maria to see the church at La Garita, which I have learned has the largest 'buon fresco' outdoor rosary walk in the world. Was surprised to spot hollyhocks at the church, which I hadn't seen in a long time and didn't think would be here, but turns out they're common, and in fact the official town flower of Saguache. They have a hollyhock festival in about 4 days. I probably didn't recognize them because the ones I remember growin up were a lot taller, 6 or 7 feet.
