Just some surface finds here and there tonight from the 1870s house site. I tried digging a privy hole but no luck. Guess I just can’t find it. I’m going back to dig the ravine hopefully. Does anyone know an age for the bottle shard? The head is pressed onto the shaft.

try using a long probe to locate the privy

I think if you rotate the bottom 180 it will read J&J
Probably Johnson & Johnson
Both screw cap 40/50's just guessing.
The other is a blob top 1865-1890

No later than 1870s, potentially Civil War era. Probably a flask or big med.
