Looked at my new W&E Treasures and Lost Treasures magazines today and saw Whites has a new ad inside the covers. At the top is a story about a 17 yr old girl, Samantha, finding an 1826 Large Cent and outdoing her dear old dad. I am the dad and I couldn't be prouder for her and I want to thank Whites for promoting the future generation in MD'ing. Just had to gloat for her a little bit. Man, does she have an ego now!

Whites is great for beginners. My son and I learned on White's machines. That's what got him started in Metal Detecting. He is 17 and just "outdid" my 1829 LC by finding an 1827 LC. Not much skill involved as the coin was less than an inch deep. ::) Fun to have a hunting partner in the family. :)

Nate has skill. ::) ;) :D

Congrats to you and your daughter on something to be very proud of.

COnrats to both of you.

I still remember my very first "real" metal detector. It was a Whites' 1 D/B in 1982.
