Just pulled this out of my yard. Haven't cleaned it yet, but it is silver, from 1816, and I think not U.S.?

1/2 Reale it is. Tiny little bugger..

Not a bad way to end the year. Oldest silver, 3rd oldest coin, first Spanish silver..and yea..another coin to add to my sig. :)

That's a pretty cool reale. We don't see too many dates from around that time on Tnet. The Mexican War of Independence was raging on at that time, which culminated with the takeover Mexico City in 1821. Very cool
Story, if you're interested, and find.
