The soil around here isn't usually this nice to copper coins. I'm thinking this one also didn't see much fertilizer from the field because it was on the edge.

I think I would probably die if I found a coin from the 1700's. 1804 is as close as I have gotten to the 1700's mark. Great looking coin. Congrats.
 

Congrats on recovering one gorgeous old copper. Its not often they come out of the ground looking that good.
