Went back to a place I have hunted 3 x prior. I worked the areas today where the standard coils just wont fit. But the sniper coil can get into those tight spots, missed by others and myself.

Here's what I dug....anything which gave a decent signal in all 4 directions. Looks like I missed some finds from the last time I was here!

Here's my favorite find of the day. An old ladies vintage compact made by "HARRIET HUBBARD AYER CANADA" which was introduced to Canada in the year 1933.

And my oldest penny....a 1951 penny. Had it been a dime or quarter, it would have been silver. I headed home after 3 hours, cold and hungry. I was rewarded with my second batch of deer jerky which I processed earlier this week.

Fun hunt with a few goodies!

I also use the sniper coil in trashy areas and do very well! Most of the hunters in my area will not use a small coil in trashy areas, even after I told them why they should. One guy put on a 15" coil in a trashy park, he said "I need to get below the trash" :icon_scratch:

I am not a great fan of large coils. They miss tiny conductive targets, are not as accurate with ID compared with smaller coils and basically suck in trashy areas. However, they work well in hunted out places where deep targets are known to exist. My overall favorite coil is the 5 x 8 coil.
