I would not open the box! It is sealed using even pressure (torque).

Call Whites Monday morning.

Does your machine have black or red/orange seals? Black seals leak and these machines had a recall. Dealers are not supposed to sell those anymore. Red/orange seals are good. All new BHID machines have the red/orange seals.

with time the plastic gets a little milky/haze not to worry all of mine have done it over time....does not cause any issues....but if you have the black box gasket you should send it in to be up graded to the new orange ones...do not mess with the box screws!! like Moe said

Like everyone else said it under warranty don't mess with the box or it will void the warranty. If you are concerned I would email White's and ask them about it and if need be send it back...

I have the red gasket in mine. I guess it's no big deal.

Thanks

are you wiping it down after you clean it from hunting?

could be water spots or calcium maybe, if it's working right it isn't leaking I would think

Yes I always wipe it cean when I'm done. Your right, if there was any moister it would be broken by now.

You can always mail it back in off season and have it checked out. When I called them to see about a 12 in coil install and ask some questions the service manager in VA told me to not mess with those screws, voids warranty and very easy to over torque them and cause cracks.

The housing is made of Polycarbonate. Sun light will turn it to a milk color over time. There is no way to add pigment to polycarb, that's why its hard as it is. Solid color body's of other machines are made of polypropylene. The pigment doesn't allow the sun to penetrate the plastic as fast. In short its probley sun fading.
