Here's some pictures of quartz artifacts I've found in central Georgia and central Alabama.

We find quartz artifacts here in IL every once in a great while made from glacial quartz. Gary

Nice finds. It seems wherever quartz is abundant, it becomes a favored local lithic.
#3 looks similar to a Savanna River?
#4 reminds me of our Cape (Cod) Stemmed variety. Obviously, not giving it an ID -just making an observation:

Rarely do I find points here made of anything other than quartz/quartzite.

Hey Todd, when you get a chance would you post a picture of one. I don't think I've seen Glacial quartz before.

I've always noticed central Alabama and Georgia and further north is pretty much is quartz, I have found ft Payne chert and Jasper in N. Alabama.

Thanks for checking them out MA, I agree with #3 being a Savannah River, the others I have no clue.

Im the same here in west NC, most of mine are quartz. like 1,2,3,5,7,8Only a few of mine are like #4 and # 6 as far as the material. The material seems to be more dense and slicker , if those are viable descriptions, lol.

Nice group Mike! Very few quartz artifacts here in west TX.

Milky quartz is rare here too, for me at least.
