The greenish flakes in the very last photo are clearly argillite. Here in New England, our argillite is actually argillaceous slate. The grainier argillite from NJ/Pa is actually argillaceous shale, and known as Lockatong argillite. It is found on sites in New England, but your greenish flakes are either Barrington Argillite, which outcrops in RI, or Nantasket argillite, sourced in Ma. These argillites can also be blue-grey, or mostly grey, so possibly your grey rocks might also be argillite. I just can't be certain from the photos.
