Question about a paleo site.

I hunted on a place about 10 years ago that had numerous artifacts from different periods including paleo, it was own by a paper co. then and as far as I know it still is.Would archeologist want to know of such a site, would they be interested in maybe doing some research, just wondering.

If their not , I am. My best paleo site is a backwater spring site. It is deflated by erosion so the aechies were not intrested. They measured my points in a survey, a guy named Brooster who works with Stanford ?? , the paleo archaeological guru. Sites that have been plowed or eroded do not attract their attention.

Captain Clovis would need a change of under ware after seeing this site. Springs, chert/chalk/limestone deposits within walking distance. It is a "shuck" site. That is what I call it, the Natives were replacing their points so the base to whole ratio thirty= to one. But gwad at the bases. Large keel flakes, large core reduction flakes, uniface tools, patina so thick the Camden chert is unidentifiable. It is a once a year love affair when the lake level is dropped. No TVA crap to worry about.Three miles off the river bank. Hoping for a good rain before summer pool covers it. Perhaps some pictures are in order?? Will be there tomorrow, may take the camera. Make Captain Clovis slobber and foam at the mouth??
