Question about Coils

When reading though the forums seen loads about the machines themself just wondering wether the coil used makes a huge difference say for instance using a good brand coil on a cheapo machine what would the result in

1. A crappo machine with a decent coil
2. A much better machine with a decent coil
3. A surberb hunting machine on par with say a sov gt
4. A loud fizz and bang.

Coils can, and do, make a huge difference, but you can only use a coil designed for that detector. They are not, for the most part, interchangeable between different detectors.
