Question about detectors

I own a garrett AT gold. Was wondering if it could do the same things as an AT pro and a little more, or if they were 2 completly different types of detectors that do not piggy back on each other. Thanks for any information guys and gals

All I can tell you is, I have owned an AT Gold for 5 years now, and I couldn't ask for more.
This country is so highly mineralized that it is hard on all detectors. We do find things though.

I have friends who have both. One likes the gold better, the other has the pro and can whoop anybody you know who goes up against him. Bottom line is, I don't really know.

Sounds like their pretty close to equal depending on the user I guess

I have heard the max is more like the gold making me believe the Gold has an advantage over the pro.

The main two differences I see are #1 the AT Gold has Threshold control the AT pro doesn't. #2 the Gold runs at 18khz and the Pro is 15khz.
