What is your experience related GARDA boxes? Do they produce silver half's?

I work for a Bank and the tellers order from Garda. I have just ordered about 4 boxes since Oct 2008 since I do not like to use the bank I work for to order boxes but since my main bank stopped ordering half's I will be ordering from my Bank. I have never found any silver half's in Garda Boxes.

Any Experience? I may even think that at GARDA the workers may pull silver in the counting rooms. Is this possible.

I got 2 Garda half boxes just yesterday:

Box 1: '42 WL, '64 Ken & 3 x 40%'s

Box 2: Skunk

I also got 7 x 90%'s (2 WL, 4 BF & 1 x '64 Ken) & 4 x 40%'s from 2 Garda boxes last week too.

In this area, Garda services TD Bank. TD Bank has coin machines that will reject silver coins. Their machines are also very convenient to CRSs looking to unload their left overs. For these reasons, I do not order boxes from banks serviced by Garda. You may have a similar situation in your area.

No coin processing company's cull silver. It's not their money to take, they process it for banks. And I'm sure that people who work at the processing plant go through a metal detector before and after they enter/leave. Not to mention a machine goes through and wraps all the coins, so I don't think a worker would even have the opportunity to pull the silver.

Cody.

I find it amazing that people still ask these questions day after day after day after day.

Do Brinks boxes produce silver?
Do Loomis boxes produce silver?
Do Garda boxes produce silver?
Do String Boxes produce silver?

Really people?? It's not that difficult a concept to understand. If I go into a bank that uses Garda tomorrow and dump $1500 in clad halves. Then, when they send them in to be processed, Garda will get $1500 in clad halves. Likewise, if I dump $1500 in silver halves to a bank that is served by Garda, then when Garda processes these coins they will have $1500 in silver halves. It is exactly the same for every bank and every coin processing company. Honestly, what is so difficult to understand about this?

My feedback is... my best dime box ever(over 60 keepers) came from garda. I have also done poorly with halfs from them. Who knows what you will get.
But roll the dice and lets have some fun!

I love to buy Garda halves and give the dumps to Loomis.

Keep on Rollin' !

In my area, TD bank uses BRINKS.

I do not know for sure what my half dollar bank orders, it's not brinks coin, maybe loomis or garda. I am on a 16 box skunk streak with those long flat 5x10x1 boxes... holes on the top and black and white rolls.

My overall streak ended yesterday with a 1967 from a batch of 2 brinks boxes, but i am still condiering myself on a 16 box skunk streak on this one bank.

I love Strings
