I have collected autographed books for the past several years. I have currently in my collection 182 autographed books. The autographs have been authenticated. Included in my collection are:
Richard Halliburton/ Jack Dempsey/ Sandy Koufax/ Harmon Killabrew/ Curtis E LeMay/ Kermit Roosevelt/ Norman Vincent Peale/ Denton Cooley MD/ Ray Bradbury/ Irving Stone (X3)/ Helen Hayes/ Ed MacMahon/ Leroy Neiman/ Joey Adams/ Louis Auchincloss/ Carl Lewis/ Joe Garagiola/ just to name a few. Is there much value to books where the author is no longer living to sign? Value of these books?
Any help greatly appreciated. thanks in advance....

I'm not an expert but I would assume you would have to get each book appraised. Different signatures will go for different prices, also it may help if the book is a 1st edition and in great shape. My only signed book is a 1st edition "Revolution A Manifesto" signed by Ron Paul, if he becomes president (knock on wood) it will be worth something someday ;D

I have heard that if the book shows a example of to: John Smith, the value will decrease.
