With regards to your saw handle medallion, it is off of a British made "Simpson saw" and depicts an image of mythical slayer.
Interesting enough, the
term "Warranted Superior" was use in the US to denote a lesser grade saw made by saw makers, while on British made saws, it denoted truly superior products.
