Ive had my medal detector stolen from me and is there a way you can track it down if I have all the info? I've always wanted one and finally was able to get a good one to have it stolen after only using it twice and having it for less than a year. It's gonna be a while till I can get another INE but hoping theres a way I can track it so any info would help or and I just out of luck. Thanks

Nowadays, Facebook Marketplace surpasses Craiglist for sales, but by all mean, keep checking both. Pawn shops too, though most crooks these days know pawnshops require an ID to sell and that you only get about 1/10 of what you'd get selling it person to person.

Report it to the manufacturer, Minelab, Garrett etc, if it is ever sent in for warranty or repair they will confiscate it.

... I had some electric trolling motors stollen and that happened, they fixed it and returned to me. I had to pay some shipping but they fixed.
At the time I didn’t think so bad because it had just broke and than some joker stole my broken motor, it cost me less for once in a while..

I bought a Minelab Exterra when they first came out. I worked second shift at the time and it was delivered at 2 pm to my back door by UPS. My wife came home at 5 pm and it was not there. Talk about being bummed out. I called Kellyco and UPS. UPS told me "tough luck" . Kellyco replaced it, but I was put on "signature deliveries" by them.

Being it was brand new, I hoped that someone would try to register the warranty so I called Minelab to see if it was registered. They took my name and phone number and I got a call two months later. I forwarded the person's name and address to the police. Turns out this person bought it from the thief and had no idea it was stolen, but the thief was prosecuted. He was a neighbor who I hardly knew, but he knew when I left for work. This was way before the term "porch pirate" was termed.

what villagenut says
2 stolen from my car - police called pawn shops within 20 miles and asked if they received any recently and they had - i had plenty of pics of mine - police asked the sellers were and they knew them - 2 brothers that had been caught before - only one of them could be given the rap. - but got them back :headbang:

Try looking anywhere you can online. Facebook marketplace near where you are. These type of machine are not easily sold to the general public so burglars will mostly list it online.
Good luck buddy
