On the smaller coil should/can I drop my sensitivity and get more depth with the same precession of a small coil?

Im not sure I am understanding the question but I was actually able to increase the sensitivity and still have it run very stable , I would think higher sens would increase depth ?

Really depends on the ground you're searching as to how much sensitivity you can use. In really bad mineral soil, too much will actually cut your depth.

That is an interesting point , would that go for super thick iron trash particles as well? I would also think the size , shape and conductivity of the target would also be a factor .
