Question about the threads?

Hopefully this is the right spot to post this. Forgive me if not, and for having a hard time wording this. I have noticed on a few threads now that someone that has been quoted I cant see their post. I just see the caption in the persons that quoted them. Hope that makes sense. What causes that?

Also when going thru todays post and active topics. Sometimes I wont see a new thread till the next day and i know i didnt miss it the day before. Couple times i didnt see it till a couple days later. What causes that?

I have figured out the time on the post not being right since i just looked in forum, so I think i got that part figured out.
