Quick question just to verify...

With the AT Pro and the stock headphones.... the stock headphones are not waterproof like the blue ones, BUT still have the o-ring connector. So does that mean I can take the AT Pro in the water as long as I don't get the headphones wet? (like having a few waves wash over the control box, if it happens)

I had it out in a little rain a few times, once with a rain jacket hood on, and once without the headphones and the cap on the headphones jack on the control box, but never had it under water or get washed over by a wave on the beach.

Yes, it is my understanding that the unit is water proof all the way up to but not including the head phones unless you have purchased the water proof headphones. Never tried my AT Pro that deep yet, but that is what the instructions indicate.

found out today... it is water-proof...LOL. many a waves washed over the AT Pro in the surf...LOL

I put the waterproof phones on mine and never took them off. I like them way better than the stock phones for land hunting. Lighter and more comfortable. When the rain comes you can keep on swinging, no worries. I bought the waterproof phones for water hunting and after my first water hunt I knew they were the only phones that would be on my AT.

I too installed the waterproof headphones because I knew I would fall down while wading. They sounded better and less to break.
