Question on Canadian silver

Hey folks, I'm sitting here bored out of my mind while suffering from a severe back injury. The doc said I have a bad slipped disc and a bulging disc. So I've had plenty of time to look through some coins. I really never studied the Canadian silver but I found a 1968 dime and a 1953 nickel.
My question being, is the nickel silver ? I researched the dime and I believe they are near 50% for that year but found little info on the nickels. Any help would be appreciated

Not silver, but nickels before 1982 are .999 nickel, and definitely worth keeping.

And 1968 dimes are a crapshoot. Hold it up to a magnet. If it doesn't stick it's 50% silver, if it does, it's not. They changed comp midway through the year.

Not silver, but nickels before 1982 are .999 nickel, and definitely worth keeping.

A 1952 nickel is chrome plated steel.

I have a comment about this site. It seems that the column labeled Troy ounces is for the weight of the entire coin and not the precious metal content. Just a clarification. Someone please double check me on this.
