I have 2 local backs that have coin counters in lobby.I'm assuming that they take 1000 in halves before they fill up.I see quite a few posts on here from people that use these counters to dump at.I'm just starting this and im curious how often and how much you can dump in these before the tellers start really hating you.Do they ever tell anyone to stop....whats everyones typical experience.I'm hoping to stay on thier good side and keep a few good dump sites as that seems to be the hardest part of this hobby...thanks for any insight...jon

depends on the counter, some of them are bags, some of them I found out because they had to open cause I jammed it...OOPS! just counts it and it all dumps into a small dumpster type wheeled wagon box under the machine, Then the Armored car guy takes that box for recounting elsewhere. Sot he tellers never deal with the change. I take a slip of paper too the tellers and they hand me back thousands of dollars. Dont know what the limit in them is, but its a lot, more than I can carry in even when by the bucket load.

The bin style are the ones I like best... I have seen a few fill up while I have been there, but I always have a lot to cash in so no surprise. Typically seems to be around $4000+ in the bin of mixed denominations when they haul it out from what I have seen.

I think the most I dumped at once was around $400 worth of pennies in one stop...took 3 or 4 trips to the car to carry it all in. Filled the bin only once.

The two banks I dump at have a sign that advises people to only drop off small, non-commercial amounts of less than $150, which is fine for me because I usually only bring $50-$100 at a time and mostly nickels and pennies.

The counter seems like it fills up quickly despite multiple bags for each demon (on a revolving mechanism inside). As I'm emptying, everything will go fine, then it'll stop with "Momentary Pause" showing on the display, then the next bag takes over. A light comes on telling the tellers a bag is full. They come out with a rolling cart and change bags.

One thing that bugs me is the stuck coin you always hear rotating inside yet you can't get it out. I can't help imagine it's silver or a wheatie and it's getting more and more chewed up.

The older tellers never seem happy about "bag duty" but the younger ones don't appear annoyed by it.

The receipt slip comes out promptly after I've pressed "Done" on the screen and it's off to the teller window. For some reason they need me to sign it (I'm not even a member) but I'm happy to.

At my primary dump bank it's branch to branch dependent. At some branches the tellers sign the receipt and at others I have to. I always wondered what the signature was for as usually they only ask if I have an account and just take my word for it without even looking it up.
