question on SD2200v2

Or just scan down here in treasurenet to Nugget hunting and post your question

They usually use SD's for large nuggets, for small gold get GP's. You could pick up a 3000 cheeper than a new 2200. Mind you, the GPX's don't seem to be to bad for large stuff either! All in extreemly high mineralised ground.

The 2200v2 is an updated version and it has a slower tracking recovery speed, which is better for finding smaller nuggets. On earlier models including the GP3000 you would get a signal from a small nugget, but the fast ground tracking would almost immediately track it out thinking it was mineralisation and you would lose the nugget. If you have one of these machines couple it up to a coiltek dd joey coil and you will find the machine excells in highly mineralised ground and will find tiny nuggets. In less mineralised ground you could use a small 6 inch mono coil. I have used one of these machines myself, Good machine good hunting seeya Neilo

Thank you for the information I just upgraded to a SD2200v2. I will pick it up tomorrow. I also bought my wife an Explorer Pro2 :coffee:

Okay here is another question....is there an additional battery pack for the Sd2200v2? :coffee:
