Hello all,
I've recently started searching Wheat Cents.
I have most magnification devices.
A bag of 5000 took a week to search. Although, I only search an hour or so after work. I need to speed the process, yet not miss "keepers".
Thoughts/Ideas please...
Thanks
Peace ✌

The downside is that if you got a Ryedale, it may not pick up some of the older wheats due to wear or variations in composition. You can set it up to lower tolerances but it may not help you.

good eyesight and patience... why rush through it? how many times does one get an opportunity to search bulk wheats anyways?

If you don't enjoy the search, then why bother? That is supposed to be the fun part.

Don't search cents.

Are you searching THROUGH wheats or searching FOR wheats? If for wheats, use a Ryedale or something similar to sort out the copper, then quickly scan for wheats. If searching through a bag of solid wheats, you pretty much have to do it by hand.

If you are looking for wheat pennies, and wheat pennies only, dump a pile of pennies on your table, flip all of them to "tails up" and weed out the wheat backs.

Thanks all.
I've now realized my question was unnecessary.
The only way to quickly search 1000s of coins is slowly. One at time... ;)
Peace ✌
