Hello all, I have some items I'm not sure about and seek some of your assistance.

This first one was found down by the river at a well known spot that was inhabited by Native Americans. It was a few inches from a chert core.

This next one was found on top of a mountain.

I found this in a field, it isn't chert, but looks like it may have been worked by man.

This one is a long shot, but it stuck out to me while taking a walk on a hillside near a creek down in central Virginia(everything else is New York found.) Nearby there is big rocks sticking out of the ground with only tiny pieces of quartz left on them as it was chipped away.

I list some of the finds I've had the last few days.
I found all of these in my favorite field to hunt.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated too.

This is a beautiful color and has a nibbled edge.

Here are some of the pieces I've found with a worked edge

Thanks in advance, and happy hunting!

Fifth picture from the bottom is a stone drill. The tip is broken off and the other side of the nock is also broken off, but it is absolutely a stone drill.

The others, I can't say for sure with out holding them or some really good pics.

Thanks guys. I had guessed that that one was a drill, but what do I know :D

First one looks to be a natural stone, no sign of
grinding, or chipping,

HH, Fossis...................

cool, thanks for your help, there is this on the bottom, but doubt it will change anything, eh?

hey zeawolf, that thought had also crossed my mind, as the fat parts(sides) are knapped too.

The one at the top could be a shafted hammer type tool. Some times native Americans made tools quick and for a small job. Then tossed them. Alot just look odd but were used. I also like that red colored peice.

Stoner, where on the Susquehanna River did you hunt? I lived in Shamokin and Sunbury and hunted the Susquehanna for years. Hell, most of my collection is from along there.

I know, I recall you mentioning living on that river before ;D

Those are some sweet ass pieces!
But with the 3 herniated discs I was given while stopped at a red light(rear ended,) I save the digging for my plants and garden as it hurts bad enough just bending over to pick up rocks.
