I'm looking to get a PI detector for nugget hunting and a used Minelab SD seems to be within my budget.
Most nugget hunters seem to praise the SD 2100 so I've been researching the whole series on the Minelab website and they seem to break down like this:
SD 2100: Original model that I've got my eyes on.
SD 2100e: Ergonomic model. Identical functionality to the 2100 except for the pole?
SD 2100v2: Newer model with MPS technology.

SD 2200d: Model with discrimination (probably not necessary for nugget hunting).
SD 2200v2: Newer discrimination model with MPS technology.
Did I miss anything here?
And how does the SD series hold up against the GP Extreme for gold hunting?
