Hey just a quick lunch break score..went into the bank to buy a box of dimes and during the process I noticed some silver edged halfs in the teller tray, bought them all 3.50 worth from the male teller (poor guy probably hoarding them himself lol)..two ended up being 1966's and one 1973 s proof, the rest clads...while quickly going through the clear plastic dime wraps I noticed one 1962 rosevelt and a super weird freak dime, dont know what happened to it!! See pictures below! Anywho keep on rockin! :headbang:

Looks more like a 73 ;-).

heh woops, thanks Coin Town :)

The weird dime looks kinda like a waffled coin that the mint does to rejected coins.

Your right, i just did some google searching and it looks a lot like the other waffles (reject coins), Leggo my eggo!! Its a 1993 p..I wonder why the mint classifies them as rejects

I've never seen anyone find a waffled dime before by CRH. They are officially not legal tender. They were originally with an error, so they were canceled so that collectors wouldn't want them. They were wrong.

Don't see any dimes, but quarters seem to be in the $25-$30 range when graded.

Is the dime a 1993-P? The waffle technique was first used in 2003.

Who knows, maybe it was from a railroad track or something..i will double check the date lol just to make sure..

Those are the crush marks from a midget hulks hands

Looks like Vise-Grips or a clamp did that to that dime.

Looks like somebody fed it through 2 gears turning and just messed it up, probably why the coin isn't fully ran through just 4/5 of it, other undamaged end was probably where they held it to get fed into gear to start with.

It's a waffled coin. a treatment by the mint.

Just like you can buy cut up 100 dollar pills, shredded, and turned unto novelties - these coins are sold as a unique coin related item. Zero premium over melt. They are, indeed, melt-able, because they are NOT us currency.
