Thanks Al.. each video presents additional information, one starts to get an idea about this unit's capabilities!!! Thankyou.
Any testing you might do is fine by me Al, but there aren't too many four or five oz gold nuggets kicking around these days, at least around here. It seems to me that the usual "larger" nuggets we see range from a gram or so on up to a half oz or slightly more. I would be primarily tempted to test nuggets in this range as more representative test samples, and throw in a larger piece or two just to satisfy viewer curiosity. A Jefferson nickel... as discussed previously... would also be an ideal standard sample target for comparison's sake.
90% to 95% depth compared to the GPX on larger stuff... if further testing over a range of various target sizes continues to confirm these numbers... substantively exceeds anything I would have hoped for or expected. Thanks again for sharing your test results, looking forward to more when you have the time and inclination.
Jim.
PS: Al I just came across your excellent video quite by chance... showing ATX depths on a variety of buried gold nuggets including 0.1gm, 0.3gm, 1.5gm, 2.0gm, 7gm, plus a Jefferson nickel detected at 15" depth. These would do very nicely for a GPX comparison test and maybe throw in a few larger pieces as mentioned above.
I had no idea you'd done that video Al, wish it had been posted here. The wife and I watched it just now... you did a jim-dandy, forthright, unequivocal job of it . Thankyou very much!!!
