It rained off and on all day long yesterday, and this morning was no better. At about 730am, the local radar showed a break in the clouds, so I put a one-gallon zip-lock bag over my Tesoro Lobo SuperTRAQ control box and headed for a couple of local parks.
After about two-hours at the first park I had 40-cents, a pewter snake earring and (I think), a very old silver crucifix. I was kind of disappointed, because the park is in an older part of town and I really thought I would score some silver coins. As the clouds opened up again, I beat feet back to the car, and headed off to another park I have not detected.
The rain tapered off to a light drizzle by the time I got to the bigger park, and I got right to work. Over the next three-hours I got wet and dirty – and never even noticed! It was a good day of detecting and digging and five-hours without a care in the world. I will sleep GOOD tonight!
