Random field, random finds

[Westfront]

Running out of options this time of the year but i found a field close to a roman site not planted yet. Weather was nice and warm, still not T-Shirt weather. Did two hours gridding the area close to the roman site and got three toasted roman coins, one Belgium copper, a very worn Prussian silver 1844 and some bits and pieces. I really like the tiny romans! Too bad i never get them in good condition here in our soil.

That thingy in the 5th pics was once a roman coin, 1700 years ago... These coins can't stand the fertilizers today.

Neat finds! Especially like the worn Prussian silver coin, must've passed through many hands before being lost -- and the date's still there! Andi

Whilst you still have a field, you still have a chance. Plenty on noise, so it's not a non-starter (at this point in the year).
