Rare token I dug today...

Was out digging CW relics and as a surprise dug this token. Thanks to forum member
Bramblefind in helping ID this item.
A few years back 2004, one of these sold for around $3,000..don't know the condition.

You were correct, the 2004 date was the year of the previous sale of the same token.
Ex Presidential Coin & Antique Company's sale of December 4, 2004, Lot 67.

always nice to dig tokens especially one that sold for that kind of money.congrats on a great find
 
Cool find...if it dates to the 1830s I would think it would be considered a 'Hard Times Token'. I've found a few of these over the years but not the same manufacturer as yours. I'm thinking yours is a rare one to pull in a price like that. The ones I've found were valued at less then $100.
