I know I haven’t posted in quite a while and my apologies. I have been so caught up with work and working on my house, I haven’t had time to get out much.
I got out today and hunted a railroad boarding house near Pascagoula, Mississippi. It was a very slow and hot day and all I was hitting on was clad and trash. Finally, I came across this token for T. J. Miller about 4” down. I truly had no idea what it was at the time and continued my hunt. After I got tired and sweaty, I called it a day and brushed off the token I had found. Not knowing enough about tokens, I contacted Bonepicker and sent him some photos. I had no idea what would happen next, but I knew he had a book to look it up. I thought it was early 1900 and he felt the same way, but there was more to it than just that. He told me the token is rated “R9” in his book and said it is a very rare token. He believes with a rating like that there might be only 2-3 known. I was over the moon after hearing that! Guess I’ll have to go hunt more often!!
