Whoot Whoot!
Now this cant compare to the "Gaines" Folsom the least bit, as no other Folsom probally will :D

This one is all there minus a small shear to one ear, side A exhibits a full flute, side be the flute is off center a little bit. This point must have been much larger as there is only a small amount of basal grinding on one side.
The material is amazing on this one, as I have yet to see anything made from it!
If anyone can help ID the material, please let me know, i would like to see how far this little guy had traveled, and at the moment i cannot shell out 500.00 for the book from Mountain Peaks to Alligator Stomachs:/

Paleo is out there guys! My good friend got his Gaines last week and this week this tiger eye!

Yeah that is a beauty! I agree that is a Banner find.

YUP !! YUP !!! Banner 4-sure !!!!

Thanks guys! I dunno how the Mods will feel about another piece of flint up there, but it would be pretty damn cool seeing those folsoms side by side, a milestone lol

Congrats on a super find :icon_thumright:

Banner for sure man. You got the eye. beautiful material and folsom point. wes

:hello2: sweet point and beautiful material. Congratulations!!!! :hello2:

Banner find. Congrats!!

oh yea ,any complete fluted paleo point is a banner all day in my book...way to go man :headbang:

coins are side-by-side on the banner all the time, I think two folsums would look fine up there. I voted! If Manchu hadn't found his already, this one would be up there. This is a treasure for the Flintstone types :headbang:

I spoke with Jeb Taylor and he said the material is more than likey Trout Creek or Badger Pass dendritic chert from south central CO.
Point was found in W Texas

Great piece Chong! I vote banner as well!

I was thinking Hartville Uplift. I'm not sure if it's the same as Trout but they are both dentritic material.
