Whoot Whoot!
Now this cant compare to the "Gaines" Folsom the least bit, as no other Folsom probally will :D

This one is all there minus a small shear to one ear, side A exhibits a full flute, side be the flute is off center a little bit. This point must have been much larger as there is only a small amount of basal grinding on one side.
The material is amazing on this one, as I have yet to see anything made from it!
If anyone can help ID the material, please let me know, i would like to see how far this little guy had traveled, and at the moment i cannot shell out 500.00 for the book from Mountain Peaks to Alligator Stomachs:/

Paleo is out there guys! My good friend got his Gaines last week and this week this tiger eye!

No Banner yet???

Come on Mods, this one deserves the Banner big time.

Ditto... Anything 10,000 years old and worth more than its weight in gold should make the banner.

Great find Chong!! :icon_thumleft:

You guys are in one hot spot! Keep em comming. My first point this year was a little clovis. I vote BANNER but if ya doont get up there dont worry bout it. You found it and that is what matters. Super find bro!
Twig.

Joshua , funny you said that because last week I called my friend and told him to weigh his piece .
Twig , seriously your first find of the year ? Rock on man , I didn't find a bit of paleo untill Aug or Sept , then started hitting left n right . Thanks arterius !

For what it's worth I wouldn't worry about the banner one way or the other. Obviously an amazing piece and substantial find. I voted banner.

That's awesome chong! I wonder if it was snapped in half and re-based. Maybe the other end was salvaged and re-tipped. Who knows maybe the bottom half was re-tipped and is still out there waiting to be found. Wouldn't that be cool to find two Folsom points made from one broken point!?
