Which beach? Clean it, weigh it and get a pic of the back. There were a lot of fakes planted.

Hard to tell uncleaned but the "T"'s in the cross don't look quite right.

Photo is very blurry, but to me it looks fake. Better pics would help

I would expect a genuine real to look more black than that. Better pictures might help.

these are most often tourist pieces but we can't tell from your picture.

From the only picture shown it appears to be one of the many reproduction coins sold and given out in Florida. The picture appears to show a raised lip all around the edge, a sign it is fake.

I know this post is resolved, but... I found three of those on Indian Shores Beach, about a month ago... They appear to be 1677 Bolivian 8 Reale Cobs, but they are exactly the same size, shape, etc. Two were encrusted in about an inch of sand and salt, until I broke them open (and also broke the FAKE coins) to see what I'd found. Bummer that they are fakes, but on a positive note, the Legend works well on the beach and I found them!
