Nope...It is whats left of a spring hook.

Cool relic, it may be a horse bridle clip also, someone more knowledgeable than I could confirm that. Happy hunting this new year. Sub 8-)

I'm with Mud Hut. The flange on it would serve no purpose as an opener, and the space in the hole is not large enough to open bottles.

It needs to be cleaned up some. Small items like that will clean up well in a rock tumbler.

Sorry I haven't responded for so long. Im going to go with bigfoot1 with this one, as I looked up a horse bridle clip and it just doesn't match the pictures. The thing I found even has some black paint on it like the pictures. So Im going with that its a rifle sling end. Thanks everyone for helping!
