Checked out a new local area that I thought had promise. But, from the first step in, the place gave no evidence that the (over)-development left anything behind. I walked till I got bee stung (and ran out of time).

I followed a different road out and spotted this narrow Neville Point (with an ancient tip break). The lithic is Marblehead Rhyolite (which is a fine local lithic)

My first inclination was a broken drill. A nice find at any rate.
 

That material looks really bad, but the knapping is really good. Pretty amazing for such grainy material. Gary
