I've been working hard on getting permission at this early 1900s church foundation site and finally scored it this morning. Stepped out of my truck, turned my Etrac on, and got an Indian as my first target about 3 feet from the road. Unfortunately, 3 more hours produced no more coins and only two non-noteworthy buttons.

I love finding Indian heads. too bad you didn't hit any silver but the IH makes it worth it.

Didn't take any pics of the buttons. One is a simple cuff button with no design and the other is a pretty dented coat button of some sort. Not military, just old.

Still a nice find. I haven't found an IH in almost a year.

It's true that we sometimes (often) have to work very hard for a nice coin or two but then again, that's what we do right??

ive had sites like that, I practically stalked this one place for over a year and once I finally got permission, it wasn't all that great, oh well it happens I suppose, on to the next!

We've had that happen, seems the harder we work to get a permission the less it produces.

That Indian is in great shape...not a total lose.

Sounds like my kinda day. Make a find the first 15 minutes and done........still nice Indian!!!
