The turkey tail was a surprise from this area of Ontario, a hefty archaic conical copper point & super tiny stone point. The fur trade era native copper ring was badly needed for my case. My friend did well for himself & found all the metals I picked here. They had quite a trade system thousands of years ago without horses, roads or maps? Impressive people. hh

Wow nice. It's funny out west we never find pottery or copper. Different cultures and techniques

If u wanna trade clovis for copper - I'm down :). Seriously though, yes many different cultures & not always friendly. Trader must have been an interesting role.

very nice group!

Great haul you made...Nice going!

Nice finds, it cool to think about the trade network!

Really interesting and nice finds.

That little point (obsidian?) is cool !

That flint celt is really nice. Turkey tale up your way. Amazing. Nice copper artifacts also.

Great well rounded hunt, little bit of everything. Ever use a metal detector for the trade items?

Nice hunts. Found some of everything. That copper culture stuff is very neat. machine or eyeball finds?

My friend used a metal detector for the copper & iron while I dug for stone & pottery. We combine the finds & pick one by one. Gives better variety & nobody gets skunked. The nearest great lake is a good 100 kms away so we are quite happy to find copper culture. Pretty much done for this year & looking forward to '17. Thanks for looking & good luck out there!

Oh the pottery!!!! So Beautiful!!!! Thanks for showing.
