Got in some headhunting today after alot of recent rain. Found some triangles, shell beads, and a Dalton?, which is thousands of years older than most of the Mississippian and Woodland stuff I typically find here. It was about 2 to 3 ft down in a drainage ditch. I found a bunch of brokes and flakes and unfortunately crushed shell beads as well.

The second area turned up some nice stuff after rain and a plowing. I found two pieces of unusual light blue chert that looks out of area imo, some scrapers and tools and a serrated , beveled knife.I got a couple in-situs but put the camera in the truck because it was on and off rain all day. HH

Looks like it could be an Brewerton eared which would still put it older than what you usually find. Awsome haul

Thanks TH, heads up down there, we had a tornado touch down less than a mile from here. I just heard some tornado warnings for parts of N.C.

That blue chert is almost carolina blue in color, it didn't show up too well in my pic. I'd be interested in seeing your piece, for some reason I was thinking it came from south of here.

Yikes! Hope you stay safe! I'm probably a little further east than you.

Will definitely post the blue point one of these days LOL...have been incredibly busy moving...argh!

Congrats on your great finds again...all of them are nice!

real nice finds!!The one piece has a quad look too it,the drooping auricles??good haul.

Thanks man, I agree with you, if it is a Quad it would be a first. What's left of the base is heavily ground.

Appreciate all the comments folks, HH.
