Recent finds during a visit to Ohio

I was recently in the Fort Loramie, OH area and had the opportunity to walk a field on a local farm. Mostly bits and pieces, but still fun to find

I was out there for a controlled dig on a historical site that involved 4x4 foot squares, metal detectors, and sifters. But in between digging I would walk the cornfields off and on over 3 days. Probably a total of 4 hours altogether.

There weren't professional archaeologists on this dig. It was run by amateur archaeologists who grew up in Ohio surface hunting for artifacts.

The controlled dig produced buttons, musketballs, gunflints, etc. from the US military occupation 1794 to 1815.
