The axe is hematite. Need some id help on the full point. All found in western illinois.

The point looks like a Har-Dove to me. Did you find these personally? The point and axe are both very nice finds.

Thank you!! Yes they are personal finds. Any value to the point? Any idea as to the age etc.

Thats a nice harden point , hard to put values on personal finds, to me anyway.

harden points are early archaic so I d say its around 4-5-6 k BP

Awesome!! Thanks for the feedback. I have a arrowhead almanac but i couldnt find this style point in it. Do you all have a ballpark value? Id never sell it but just curious.

I've never kept up with point values but if i had to guess id say 250

I agree with SOHIO, he's saying it's a Hardin, I'm saying it's a Hardin-variant, same difference really. ~7-8,000 years old is where I'd put it and a couple of hundred dollars seems a good ballpark estimate. It's a great point. The hematite axe is a rare piece. Value probably isn't great (about the same as the point, in my opinion), but grooved hematite axes are not a common find. Do you have additional photo's of your collection?
