I've begun to get some eme interference on my AT Pro in areas (exactly the same area) where previously there was no interference. I have been switching coils alot over the last few days, and also started wrapping the coil cable a little tighter around the shaft. Would either (or both) of these activities result in somehow getting more interference? Are there other random environmental factors that could cause interference that i'm not thinking about?

thanks in advance

Try switching frequencies. You have four different ones to operate on.

Like John said.

Factory Reset when turned on.

Turn down Sensitivity to half then ground balancing.

Your situation happened to me a few times. Each time it was the cable plug loosened. I now give it a quarter turn past finger tight.
The ground saturation also seems to make everything more chatty, especially dew, every twig I hit "PING" but conditions like these I get better depth.

When I change coils I always do a reset back to factory settings - fluorescent lights in a park really up set my AT.
