About 35 yrs ago I recovered a string of buttons from the drawer of an old peddle Singer Sewing Machine. There were nine large buttons and two smaller cuff or collar buttons. The New York State Seal is one the front of the buttons. One the back of eight large buttons and one small button is " Scovill Mfg Co. Waterbury. One the back of one if the large buttons and one of the smaller buttons is "Waterbury Button Cop".

Don't know if they are pre or post civil war or their value.

Any help would be appreciated. TomB
