Just another stroll through clad-land but AT always finds something to keep things interesting.

I believe the utensil is pewter.
Must be some old stuff yet.

I found this to be the most interesting today, but, not until I got home.

Ya see, I had the discriminator cranked toward the end of my walk. (Tired/lazy :dontknow: )

I saw this lying on top and figured quarter. But, AT didn't peep! I started cranking the discrimination down until it finally did....45 and SOLID!

Picked it up, saw what it was and moved on. Just a watch back. But, when I got home, I looked up this model. Does anyone besides me know how much this watch retails!?!?

Anyhoo...thanks for peeking!
Stay safe out there!

I did not know anything about that brand of watch, Gary, but searching for it shows prices of well over $1100. Not sure why just the back of an expensive watch would be there? That leaves some questions for sure!

I dont know the value, but its a divers watch, so it must be worth more than your average watch. Nice find Whadi.

Nice assortment of finds. Congrats

Very nice finds WHADIFIND!

A TAG HEUER diver's watch certified to 1,000 ft is primo! I don't know too much about pricing but you routinely see them advertised in High End men's magazines like ESQUIRE. Go on Ebay Switzerland and see if you don't find some info on price! Adds posted in German or French can be translated for free on the net.

Best wishes and get mo!

Whadi, Congrats on another nice walk. Froggy and Fishie are looking at that plastic ring and both thinking, "Recycle Bin." Tell them to hang in there, you always spoil them. Very strange that the watch back appears to have simply "unscrewed" from the wristwatch. Batteries and watch "guts" can start falling out when that happens! Cheers, Sub 8-)

Right you are sub! I've never known one to unscrew by itself because you have a significant rubber seal under the lid of a diver's watch. Also, the back was removed with a professional tool. There's no scratch marks anywhere around the rim. Maybe someone removed the back to replace the battery and accidently scratched the coil, sudden death!

Nice walk & finds, the watch cover is a odd thing to stumble across being such a expensive watch, nice utensil & clad, congrats

You have the most interesting walks, congrats! :occasion14:

Near as I can figure, this model sells for around 1600. Maybe I can sell the back for....Oh....say...50?:tongue3:

I figure the same, somebody tried to change a battery and lost this. :dontknow:

I'm still unsure what the material is but I suspect a very high grade stainless. ( it better be high grade! At that price! Rang up as a solid 45)

Just never know...do we. Lol!
Thanks!
