27 years old is a deadly age for rock stars. Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Janice Joplin, Jim Morrison and now Amy all died at 27.
There may be others, but those come to mind.

But If you watch some of the Videos on You tube
It makes you wanna Throw up.

Sadly, she became victim of success and the drugs that go along with it. People will no doubt make jokes about her... but the truth is that she was someones daughter. She truly was a victim. I know this might sound dumb, but there should be a class to attend on "Now that you're famous 101", which entails how to stay away from these type of things.

The sad irony is that if she would have not done drugs or displayed the bizarre behavior, she probably would not have been as popular.

if you need rehab (help) and say NO NO NO -- most likely into a early grave your going to GO GO GO--
needlessly dead at 27 -- now that's just sad * pity from the "rehab song" --the gal seems like she had a bit of musical style .
some folks can not handle failure and kill themselves due to it , while others can not seem to handle "success" and also kill themselves due to it. --it a weird , weird world we live in at times.

I was never a big fan of hers, but it always saddens me when someone with so much potential dies. I'm sure many people in her life tried to get her help...I just wish she'd been more open to it.

I was never a fan either. But I agree with you. I've delved in drugs in my previous life (a LONG time ago). I've also met people that "can't hack their high". Meaning, they just don't know when to stop, or at least learn that it's bad for health, work, relationships, financially, ....or just life in general. I'll drink probably more than I should... and every now and then, perhaps every other new years eve during a off party, I'll 'not inhale' as Clinton did.... but, drugs in general are bad for the mind. Some of them do have their benefits, like glaucoma and cancer... but that's as much as I know about that.

A very sad story, one so young. I'm afraid she was brought to my attention by the bad publicity she received about the drugs and drink, and not here music, not being a music buff myself.
Apparently she died from the sudden withdrawl from the alcohol, from what I can gather it's best to reduse it, rather than cut it right off, it causes fits.

Think Maybe she should have taken her own advice,
& said No no No to rehab ?
I think sometimes it is better to stay on course then
alter your Lifesyle, no matter where you are physically.

An alcoholic can die, if they quit. Alcoholics sometimes can just cut down, if they know how. Willie Nelson did that & quit 3-4 packs a day of cigarettes, too. Some prescription pills are fatal if quit abruptly. And there are many drugs that are rarely fatal until they are taken with another drug & probably few have the dangerous combos memorized.
