Some good digging, nice shoe buckle.
That axe should clean up nicely if you zap it.
Congratulations

Yeap finding the spots is important & you have the 2nd most important thing; an XP Deus in the hand.

nice finds... old site

Very nice relics, congratulations! :occasion14:

We all have our dry spells or fall in a slump. I myself am fine with that. If we all found gold, silver and the coolest relics all the time. There would be a lot more people doing it. Those are some nice relic rescues. You do a great job on your videos and I do watch them when people put them in a post. I'd also say Congrats on your banner find NC Button. Sorry, I missed that post.

Nice recoveries on the buckle and axe, well done.

Speak for yourself on that one....lol

I can't remember our last dry spell (must have been many, many years ago), but I guess you could say we had the odd dip in performance for the odd day.

Once you get plenty of sites to rotate around all is well, but we have the added advantage of the plough bringing up finds each year.

That's nice. Good for you Mr. CRUSADER. I'm glad you got it all figured out

You never get it all figured out, but our team is pretty well oiled after years of making all the mistakes first.

Those are some very nice old relics mate. Love old brass suspender clips with that beautiful ornate design. That old ax head would look amazing after restoration. I thought I was listening to Nuggetnoggin during your video! LOL! Sound a lot like he does. That brass shoe buckle ROCKS! Also is that a brass square nail? I have very few of those. Super cool find! Well done mate.:headbang:

I agree with you mate. It's NOT that we are more knowledgeable about research and recovery than everyone else. In time if you haven't acquired a surplus of fertile hunting sights that continually produce keeper finds than I believe you are NOT doing this treasure hunting thing properly. This has been my shortcoming in the past. Fortunately this season has brought me a bounty of better hunting sights and permissions. Getting over the fear of being "rejected" or told NO you can't hunt my property is the hurdle we must all overcome to gain access to some killer sights. I hope this winter will give me some time to further my research into my own little community which has more history than many of my neighbors realize. I hope to acquire more hunting ground this year than I can ever possibly hope to cover in several life times. Than I will try and get my friends to come along to assist and enjoy the added company as well. Thanks for your example to the rest of us how to successfully bring home the goods on a consistent basis. Much respect.:icon_salut:

I'm sorry Mr.CRUSADER, I'm a bit confused. Are we still talking dry spells here? For someone that hasn't had one in many, many years. Are you now saying you don't have it figured out? Let me say this and then I have one more question for you. I don't look at peoples profiles here on t-net. I try to figure out people by reading their post or comments. I think I've gotten good at it and I think I know who you are. Is this you in the picture? If you would like to carry on a conversation, instead of hacking this Gentlemens post, feel free to PM me.

Nice set of finds. I can’t wait to get my Dues back from repairs. It’s a relic magnet.

I just mean this is a detecting career & if you take it seriously then what tends to happen is at the start its really hard to gain good permissions, let alone find them. So at the start I had loads of dry spells, but with nearly 30 years of learning, I've got the research/permission gaining/reputation/intuition to a point where we spend all our time on good sites. The only risk involved is trying to find new ones, its at this point performance normally dips unless you hit the site straight of.
PS. if you want to continue this, PM me. Its totally off-track to the OPs post.

And a couple thousand years extra on us helps. lol
