Removing antique ads and trading cards from scrapbook

Hi all. I just bought two antique scrapbooks full of trading cards, advertisements and postcards but they were all stuck on to the pages with what seems to be a thin layer of glue. Does anyone know the best way to remove these from the pages without harming them? TIA

Ronsons lighter fluid/glue remover is what I'd try.
